True Margrit
True Margrit
The veteran San Francisco trio, True Margrit serves up a signature feast of sharp and sweet piano-art-pop. The band features piano-player/singer-songwriter, Margrit Eichler, bassist Gary Hobish, and drummer Andrew Bacon. True Margrit has released 5 albums, and are hard at work on a 6th, “Comforting the Castaways”, due out in 2017.

True Margrit has played up and down the West coast (and beyond--including adventures in Texas & the East coast), appearing at a myriad of clubs, radio & TV stations, cafes, festivals, house concerts, sailboats, and street parties. Their songs (and scores by Eichler) have been featured in a growing roster of films, including the award-winning Frameline Fest breakout, “The Stranger in Us."
Goggy
Goggy
Margrit Eichler (singer/ songwriter/ piano-player for the bay area trio, True Margrit) recently re-surfaced after surviving her first solo recording adventure. Taking the concept of “solo” a bit literally, she produced the album all by her lonesome in her home project studio (Absolutely True Sound). She worked on the project in the wee hours, her main inspiration/ feedback coming from her pop-savvy cats, Luc and Freddi. The upshot: a melancholy, sincere, wry, psychedelic, keyboard-rich, prog-pop album called, “Satellites and Saints." She’s eager to share it with the world—and with other people’s cats.

For the live versions of the tunes, Eichler is thrilled and honored to be appearing with vocalist/percussionist, Pam Delgado (Blame Sally, Pam & Jeri Show, Monica Pasqual and the Handsome Brunettes); keyboardist, Nick O’Connor; and keyboardist/guitarist/ vocalist, Amy Meyers.
Milo & the Assassins
Milo & the Assassins
Milo Starr Johnson of Milo & The Assassins is a San Francisco native singer/songwriter who performs in a rock ’n’ roll cabaret style. While previously working in film, experimental theater, and comedy in Los Angeles, Milo received an LA Times Best Bet and LA Weekly Pick Of The Week for her solo theater shows. Milo brings this background to her recent debut album, The Perambulator. Inspired by the 60’s and 70’s, with influences as diverse as The Kinks, Roxy Music, and The Cramps, The Perambulator is a skillfully produced collection of songs about love, change, and coming home.

The Assassins include keyboardist Erik Walker (featured on the album) of the Erik Walker Quartet with Honey Mahogany, guitarist Sean Griffin (Black Pole, LizAnah Band), and Gary Hobish (True Margrit) on bass.
